Motorized Headache PDF Print E-mail

The off road industry has for many years pressed for further development of trails and ORV parks that have pushed farther into the pristine wilderness that presidents such as Theodore Roosevelt fought to conserve. Now in the state of Washington there is a movement for funds from the Non Highway and Off Road Vehicle Activities (NOVA) Program to be restricted from use by the majority of the contributing public, whom happen to be non-motorized users (hikers, climbers, etc). The legislation that is being proposed would put environmental impact in the back seat and let the commercial motorized recreation industry have there way with Mother Nature. To see what you can do, check out this link to the Washington Trails Associations website and make your voice heard.
